Democrats' "Festering Anti-Semitism Problem"

As friends of Israel, you and I face a mounting crisis of anti-Semitism on Capitol Hill. It's a crisis that could rupture America's long-standing friendship with Israel. And one on which we must speak out now.

That's why I'm asking you to give me your answers to our 2019 U.S.-Israel Relations Survey.

Your responses to this simple, two-minute survey will help me send a much-needed message to the U.S. Congress, the White House, and the media.

And that has never been more needed.

Democrats once stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Republicans in solid support of Israel. No More. The party of Harry Truman has become the partyof Ilhan Omar. House Democrats couldn't even condemn Omar by name last week for her vile anti-Semitism.

The disturbing reality is that a growing number of Democrats are turning their backs on Israel. Washington Examiner executive editor Philip Klein recently issued this stunning indictment: "The Democratic Party has a festering anti-Semitism problem within its own ranks, and so far it seems content to look the other way."

And that's why the thunder of our collective voices needs to be heard now on Capitol Hill. Please take a couple minutes to immediately answer our U.S.-Israel Relations Survey.

+ + + From Truman to "Termites"

Things are so bad that when vicious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan railed against Jews last fall, calling them "termites," most Democrats refused to condemn his words.

Some Democrats even treat this anti-Semitic bigot like a "rock-star"...

  • Radical Maxine Waters, who is now chairman of the powerful House Financial Services Committee, embraced Farrakhan when they met in 2006.
  • At least five other current members of the House of Representatives are also tied to the notorious Nation of Islam leader who calls Jewish people "Satan" and chanted "Death to Israel" when in Iran last November.
  • One of Farrakhan's friends in Congress, Rep. Danny Davis (D-IL), has called the intolerant Jew hater "an outstanding human being."

But it's not just Democrats who look the other way when it comes to anti-Semitism. So does the media.

When Farrakhan shared a stage with Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Bill Clinton at the funeral of Aretha Franklin, the liberal press gave it muted attention. MSNBC and ABC cropped Farrakhan out of pictures of the event they shared on Twitter.

+ + + Decision Time

Because of all this, I'm asking you to decide to do two things today. . .

First, please answer CIDI's 2019 U.S.-Israel Relations Survey. It's a crucial gauge of Christian grassroots support for Israel and your chance to send a strong pro-Israel message to Congress, the White House and the American media.

Second, along with your completed Survey, please consider a generous gift to help CIDI fight for Israel on Capitol Hill and across our nation.

Let me hear from your right away with your completed Survey. We'll quickly tabulate your answers, along with others, and report the total result to Congress, the White House, and the media.

Thanks for everything you do to bless and defend the Jewish people and the state of Israel. I'm grateful.

Sincerely,

Mat Staver
Chairman
