President Trump did a good thing when he designated the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Sudan as Foreign Terror Organizations.

But Trump’s executive orders do not go far enough.

As a friend of Israel and a U.S. citizen, I am asking you to support and press vigorously for the passage of the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act.

By the Muslim Brotherhood's words and actions, it is clear that the Brotherhood deserves this designation. It states in an internal document that its adherents “must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within … so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions.” And as the parent organization of both al-Qaida and Hamas, the Brotherhood clearly embraces the use of violence to advance its ends.

Five Middle Eastern Arab Muslim nations — Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates — have labeled the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. Please do all you can to ensure the United States recognizes this stealth enemy inside our borders and does the same. Please endorse and do all in your power to bring the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act to final passage.
