To Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and all members of Congress:

Dear Sirs:

The one and only time in modern history that Israel traded land for peace, the Palestinians used that land to terrorize and attack Israel.

Between August 15, 2005, and September 12, 2005, Israel fully withdrew from Gaza, removing all Israeli military and forcibly evicting all Israeli Jews from the Gaza Strip. The land, which had been turned from desert into a virtual oasis of greenhouses and flourishing farms, was turned over to the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Instead of using Gaza to enjoy prosperity and peace, the Palestinians destroyed the greenhouses and farms, and instead focused their effort on building tunnels and terror networks to wreak horror upon Israeli Jews.

After facing years of war on every front, and the constant and relentless Hamas attacks originating out of Gaza, Israel is taking back the land it traded with the expectation of peace. The land Hamas decimated will be restored to the flourishing gardens and farms that existed there before the Palestinians turned it into a war zone.

Gaza is part of the land God gave Israel (Joshua 15:47), and Israeli sovereignty in Gaza is the one way to ensure Oct. 7 never happens again.

Even Mosab Yousef, son of Hamas co-founder Hassan Yousef, agrees, saying “October 7 didn’t happen because the ‘Palestinians’ were denied a state. It happened because they were given one.”

Returning Gaza, which has effectively operated as a Palestinian state, to Israel is the surest way to effect peace in the Middle East. As an Israel-supporting American, I respectfully demand you support Israeli control of Gaza.
